Music Blog [en francais]

I only just discovered it but I'm already infatuated. The first line I read said, "An avalanche of albums fell between my ears this week." Adorable. He or she also says that it's been very beautiful the past few days as spring is finally here. Rar. Ok, see you!

Tights Aren't Pants

Here's my outfit I know you will appreciate.
These are leggings and don't you forget it.
Ready to retire to the beach {forever}. Today I will just pretend.

6:58 a.m.

Sometimes I just never sleep at all. As you may well know I am quite obsessed with my apartment. Regardless, here are some morning photos. SO STAY AWAKE!

Beach House

Beach House 4/23/10 @ Walter's on Washington

This is the best that I could do. She's amazing. Absolutely intoxicating. So, thanks Beach House for coming to Houston and not being losers by just going to Dallas. DALLAS DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU. I got a t-shirt. It's totally rad. I drank 3 pitchers of Miller Lite last night, which explains why I woke up wired at 4:30 a.m. Guess I drank too much. But, it's cool because I got caught up on 30 Rock. Have you watched it yet? Did you see when Kenneth told Julianne Moore, "You shut your mouth!" God, Kenneth is my favorite. So, it's only 6 a.m. now and I have so much time. Next month I start auditioning for different choral ensembles mmmmmmm yes around Houston. So, I've gotta lie and say I majored in music at Baylor. These are apparently professional choirs.......who knew those existed. Mostly, who gives a fuck. I JUST WANNA SING GODDAMMIT. Why's everyone always trying to label us? No, I didn't major in music and devote my entire life to a career in music but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be a part of YOUR ENSEMBLE. There's also this mockingbird outside my window that needs a mate bad because it will not shut up. He knows so many different bird calls. Time to make coffee. Oooooh the sun is coming out!

My new comforter. Predatory and retro. I feel like I'm staying in a hotel. And, I love that.

Child's plate.

Hamlet

We're going to see Hamlet tomorrow night at the Folger Shakespeare Theater. It is my birthday PRESENT. The theater is a replica of the original Globe! COOL.

Will's Lament

The Natural History Museum got a lot of hate mail from children when they demoted Pluto from its' former planet status.

More from The Pluto Files.

Anatomy Test

Also, I renamed the Intercostal nerve the Pentecostal nerve. It's better that way.

Likewise, the mediastinum is now the gloriastinum.

And, if I have to hear my Anatomy professor say "inwolved" one more time WELL I'M JUST GONNA VOMIT. It was so endearing at first.

Morning Commute

An Avian Lover's Fantasy

More spontaneous snap shotting outside my window. This is an oriole and man did it's blood red coat catch my eye. I ended up reading by the window for the next 2 hours to get this shot. THEY'RE JUST SO GODDAMN FLIGHTY. Tiny little things.

Alternate Weekend Shots

Smashing Things

Weekend Shotz

The National Arboretum was AMAZE. Azalea bushes in full bloom and bonsai trees in every direction. Magic timez. I took all these on my cell phone so they aren't super hot but IT'S FINE.

If this isn't right out of a Jane Austen novel then I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.
